Medical Reporter Stephanie Stahl has details on a new danger linked to snoring, an experimental helmet that's being tested to treat Alzheimer's, and another warning about caffeine.Caffeine & Diabetes:Caffeine causes blood sugar levels to spike according to new research, and it's affecting the milions of Americans who have Type 2 diabetes. The equivalent of four cups of coffee was given to patients with Type 2 diabetes. Researchers at Duke University say that caused their blood sugar level to go up eight percent. It appears caffeine interferes with how the body processes sugar. They say, one way to lower blood sugar is to eliminate caffeine, from coffee and other sources.Snoring & Chronic Bronchitis:Also in health, people who snore face an increased risk of developing chronic bronchitis, according to a new study of 4,200 people published in the Archives of Internal Medicine.
